Welcome to Percussion Palace. By using our website www.percussionpalace.co.uk, purchasing products, hiring equipment, or using our buy-in service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase, booking a hire, or selling an item to us.
2. Products & Pricing
- All products are second-hand unless stated otherwise.
- Prices are subject to change at any time without notice.
- We aim to keep stock levels accurate, but if an item is unavailable after purchase, we will issue a full refund.
3. Orders & Payments
- Full payment is required at checkout via our accepted payment methods.
- We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order for any reason.
4. Shipping & Delivery
- We aim to dispatch all orders within 1 working day. In rare cases where this is not possible due to prior commitments, we will notify you as soon as possible with an updated dispatch time.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers.
- Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and are non-refundable.
5. Returns & Refunds
- Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery if the item is in its original condition.
- Refunds will be processed once the item is received and inspected.
- Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty.
- Returning Drum Kits: Due to the fragile nature of drum kits and the sometimes unpredictable handling by couriers, great care must be taken when repacking them for return. Improper packaging can lead to damage in transit, which may affect your eligibility for a full refund. If you need to return a drum kit, we strongly recommend keeping the original packaging and using sufficient padding to protect all components. We also strongly recommend taking notes or photos of how the kit was initially packed to ensure it can be repacked securely for return. If you're unsure how to pack it safely, please contact us for guidance before shipping.

Agreement

By signing this form, the hirer agrees to the following terms and conditions.

Hire Period

The hire period begins from the agreed collection or delivery date and ends on the agreed return date.

Late returns will incur additional charges unless prior arrangements have been made.

Deposit & Payment

The full hire fee and £200 refundable security deposit must be paid before or on the day of collection or delivery.

The deposit will be refunded upon the safe and timely return of the equipment, subject to inspection.

Liability for Damage or Loss

The hirer is fully responsible for any loss, theft, or damage incurred during the hire period.

Any loss, theft, or damage, regardless of cause, is the sole responsibility of the hirer.

If the equipment is lost, stolen, or deemed beyond repair, the hirer agrees to pay the full replacement value.

Any repair costs for damaged equipment will be deducted from the deposit. If repair costs exceed the deposit amount, the hirer must cover the remaining balance immediately upon request.

The hirer must ensure the equipment is used appropriately and returned in its original condition.

Collection & Return

Equipment must be collected and returned at the agreed time and location.

Weekend hires may be collected on Thursday and returned on Monday at no additional cost.

If returning via courier, the hirer must ensure safe packaging and cover shipping costs.

Equipment Condition & Cleaning

The hirer must inspect the equipment upon collection and report any defects immediately.

All equipment must be returned in the same clean condition as it was collected.

Additional cleaning fees may apply if the equipment is returned excessively dirty or in an unsuitable condition.

Failure to Return Equipment

If the hirer fails to return the equipment on the agreed date without prior notice, Percussion Palace reserves the right to take legal action to recover costs.

Any associated costs for retrieval, replacement, or legal proceedings will be the responsibility of the hirer.

Liability & Insurance

The hirer is responsible for the safe and correct use of the equipment.

Percussion Palace is not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses resulting from the use of hired equipment.

It is recommended that the hirer arranges insurance if required.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the hire start date for a full refund.

Cancellations within 48 hours of the hire start date may result in a cancellation fee.

No refunds will be issued once the hire period has begun.

Termination of Hire Agreement

Percussion Palace reserves the right to terminate a hire agreement if the hirer breaches any terms and conditions.

In such cases, the hirer must return the equipment immediately, and the deposit may be forfeited.

7. Buy-In Service Terms
- We offer a buy-in service for second-hand drum kits, cymbals, hardware, percussion and general musical equipment.
- All offers are based on condition, market value, and demand.
- Once a sale is agreed upon, payment will be made via [bank transfer/paypal/cash].
- We reserve the right to refuse any item that does not meet our criteria.
- Sellers must confirm ownership of the item and provide valid ID if requested.
8. Liability
- We are not liable for any damages, injuries, or losses resulting from the use of our products or services.
- Customers are responsible for ensuring proper handling and usage.
9. Privacy Policy
- We respect your privacy. Personal details provided for orders, hires, or sales will not be shared with third parties.
10. Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of our website and services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
